Chelsea Nilsson is the founder of Nilsson Learning & Design. She helps mission-driven organizations bring their learning to life. With almost two decades of experience in the field of education, she has expertise in instructional design and facilitation and is known for establishing clear processes and bringing together diverse perspectives.
Chelsea got her professional start in the classroom, where she taught English Language Arts and developed curriculum. Her love of learning design brought her to the field of online learning, where she has designed and built over 25 graduate-level blended learning courses, managed the multi-year design & build of a web-based toolkit for educators and school leaders, honed her approach to team leadership, and managed media and library professionals.
More recently, at NL&D, she has generated online learning experiences, created toolkits, and designed digital content in partnership with clients including Columbia Psychiatry’s Center for Practice Innovations, Arizona State University’s Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College, Modern Epic, ESPN’s Choose Kindness Project, Extra Yard for Teachers, the Walton Family Foundation, and Vivi .
